Tradition is a combination of values & expectations that have functioned for a preceding generation or people. Tradition however has little relevance for us today if it is not placed in contrast with the values and contemporary issues that are present in our times.
Pragmatic Buddhism refuses metaphysics, dualism, extremism (dogma) and embraces the middle way.
All of the different schools and traditions of Buddhism that are still alive today survived by unifying a traditional approach to a vision and setting that is unique, adapting themselves to fit in the best way possible at the time to the society in which they set foot.
Impermanence has to be applied to everything and this includes Buddhism.
Facebook Pragmatic Buddhism page is in Italian only: sorry.
